It is a completely legitimate business owned by Rob Hanley, who also owns the popular, profitable and legitimate YourNetBiz network marketing company which has been around since...

Planning your honeymoon is quite another. Most newlywed couples want their honeymoon to...

Black sand beaches are symbolic of the beauty of St Lucia, an isolated and romantic getaway at the far eastern end of the Caribbean Sea, exposed to warm and gentle trade winds from the Atlantic. The relative remoteness of beaches near Soufrière means the area is a perfect secluded spot to spend a honeymoon. Tall palm trees shade sunbathers from the heat of the tropical sun, while snorkelers will find a paradise of reefs and hundreds of varieties of tropical fish just a few feet from...

St Lucia is known for more than just beautiful and perfect weddings. The island is also the birthplace of two Nobel prizewinners, Sir W. Arthur Lewis, who won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1979, and the poet Derek Walcott, who won the 1992 Nobel Prize for Literature. According to Lewis, developing countries' industrial wages begin to rise quickly at the point when the supply of surplus labor from the countryside tapers off. During his long academic career he remained committed to his native island and was buried in 1991 in the grounds of the St Lucian community college named in his honor. The poet Derek Walcott is renowned as a master of magic-realism, and became a master of Homeric poetic...

One of the popular alternatives of timeshare ownership these days is through vacation clubs. It is a collection of timeshare resorts which are owned and managed by a single developer. Some have you buy points in the club that can be used at any of their resort properties. Another model also requires the owner to buy a timeshare at one of the resorts and has some special privileges to other resorts but has a home resort they own at and must trade or exchange timeshares to visit other resorts even in their own resort vacation club. Meanwhile, some vacation clubs these days are now offering both models for the purposes of adding flexibility to the changing needs of travelers. However, in the process...

Well, I'm not going to tell you which denomination of 5 I reached, but OK, it was a BIG birthday! I love that I was born in July. My birthday always falls right around our vacation time. My husband is also a Cancer, so the whole month feels like celebration and vacation. And just like everyone else, our celebrations are often centered around food. Sometimes homeowners need a little time for themselves. They can choose to go on vacation and travel far to see and experience the beauty of nature. As anyone who has taken a vacation knows, not everything goes the way you plan. But if you take a few minutes to think about what might happen, and what you will need to remedy the situation, you can avoid ruining an otherwise great vacation. 1) Motion Sickness - Motion sickness may occur in a number of scenarios on a vacation trip such as during a boat ride, a roller coaster ride at a park or a car ride on a winding road in some beautiful mountains. People who travel frequently or through multiple time zones can experience jet lag at some point during their vacation. Jet lag is a term used to describe the experience of people who travel and have a period of disorientation that occurs after landing in a different time zone, typically multiple time zones away from home. It can affect your physical condition and mental state. Mostly it has to do with your "internal clock" that remains stable while stationed at home, but can be thrown off by a relatively quick journey across time zones. Jet lag results in serious changes in your sleep pattern that may conceivably influence your waking up up at 1:00 a.m. and going to bed at 4:00 p.m. It also causes...

Barbados and Guyana faced each other in the final of the Caribbean T20 after reaching that stage in contrasting style. Guyana had to hold their nerve to defeat hosts T&T by a mere four runs in the semi-final, while Barbados had a facile victory over a dispirited Jamaican side the previous evening. This was the first T20 final appearance for Barbados and the second for Guyana. Few expected Barbados to reach the final, but Guyana was no surprise; that team was the first T20 Caribbean champion (through the Stanford T20). Although Guyana and Barbados were in Zone B, the final was the first time that the two teams played in this competition, since the Zone game was abandoned without a ball being bowled...

The reason that a vacation is so important is because we need a chance to get away from our normal lives and have a relaxing trip to recharge the batteries. Vacations have turned into something that they are not meant to be and we need to get this country back to the real vacations that are necessary. We are one of the countries that takes less vacation time than most others. We take on average 3 weeks of vacation a year per person and many other countries take as much as 6 to 8 weeks. We have decided to accept this as a normal thing from our employers while they work us to death. Our 40 hour full time work week is higher than any other country in the world and we have workers that beg for overtime...

One of the first set of players to play one-day cricket for the West Indies, Vanburn Alonzo Holder was a fast-medium bowler who played for the regional team between 1969 and 1979. He played in the transition period for the West Indies, where they moved from being a good, competitive team to being world-beaters in the late 70s. Born on October 10 1945 in St. Michael, Barbados, Vanburn-better known as Van-made his First Class debut for Barbados as a 21-year old. His first Test for the West Indies-against England at old Trafford, Manchester-was just two years later, in 1969. The Barbadian medium pacer had an average debut-taking only one wicket as the West Indies lost by 10 wickets. Holder's best Test...

One of the few Dominicans to represent the West Indies, Norbert Phillip was a capable right-handed batsman and effective fast-medium bowler. The allrounder was one of several West Indians who got a chance to play Test cricket because of defections by senior Caribbean players to Kerry Packer's World Series Cricket. Born at Bioche, Dominica on June 12 1948, Phillip first represented the Combined Islands, making his First Class debut in the 1969/1970 season. At the start of his career, he was a fringe player for the Combined Islands, which since split into the Leeward and Windward Island. After a few years of intermittent cricket, the Dominican claimed a regular spot on the Combined Islands team. This...

Richard Austin is a former Jamaican all rounder who played two Tests for the West Indies in 1978. Austin was one of those players who got an opportunity at the highest level without making an impact. Given the strength of the regional team in the late 70s and his involvement in controversy, he was unable to get a long run in the international arena. Born in Kingston, Jamaica on September 5, 1954, the allrounder was first part of the West Indies Young Cricketers (now called the West Indies Under-19s) before making his debut as a 20-year old for Jamaica in the 1974/1975 domestic season. According to Cricinfo's Martin Williamson, Austin could bowl either medium pace or off-spin. Austin earned a West...

Jack Noreiga was a former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies off-spinner who played First Class cricket between 1961 and 1975. Although he holds a West Indian record, few might recall his exploits-mainly because he only ever played one Test series for the Caribbean side. Unlike his compatriot, Andy Ganteaume, Noreiga was not a one-Test wonder, but rather a one-series wonder. Born in St. Joseph, Trinidad on April 15, 1936, Jack Noreiga made his First Class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in the 1961/62 season as a 25-year old right arm off-break bowler. His belated start in First Class cricket was well surpassed by his surprising entry into Test cricket at the ripe age of 35. Noreiga must have been a...

The inconsistency of the West Indies team has been the main topic of discussion, when West Indies Cricket fans look at their team's chances going into the ICC Champions Trophy. However it seems that the planners of international cricket might have done West Indies a favour, when they schedule the DLF cup and set new guidelines, which forced the West Indies to have to qualify for the Champions Trophy despite being defending champions. Had not for these occurrences, the cricket administrators in the Caribbean may have dispatch the West Indies team with out any preparation to the sub continent, a mere 24 hours before the champions trophy was due to begin. With the DLF cup, a training camp and the new...
